Isql-odbc-mysql-help

Halo friends

I am trying to connect to MYSQL database from command prompt using the command "isql -v <database-name> <user-name> <password>"

It works perfectly fine if I log in as root or su, whereas the same does not work when I login as regular user. I give below the error message

[IM002][unixODBC][Driver Manager]Data Source name not found, and no default driver specified
[ISQL]ERROR: Could not SQLConnect

Following is the entry of my /etc/odbcinst.ini

MYSQL]
Description = MYSQL
Driver = /usr/lib/libmyodbc3.so
Setup = /usr/lib/libodbcmyS.so
Server = localhost
Database = <database-name>
Port =
Socket =
Option =
Stmt =
UsageCount = 2

I am using RHEL5

Can someone help me in resolving this problem

Problem solved.

I was using a wrong syntax.

It should be

isql -v <serve-name> <user-name> <password>

in place of servername I was earlier using database name. When I changed it everything works fine.
