Unhappy unable to install flash plugin in Knoppix 6.0

I am using a Live CD of Knoppix 6.0. The flash plugin for Iceweasel is not installing. I have downloaded flash player 10 plugin. The file's execute permission was off. I turned it on and tried running the file by typing ./flashplayer10_install_plugin_070208.exe
at root. It says the binary file cannot be executed. I don't know if this is because I am using a Live CD. I would like to know how to solve this problem. I am not able to watch any youtube videos or online movies

Help please!!

Iceweasel doesn't include the Adobe Flash Player plugin, but installing it is a matter of executing the sudo apt-get install flash-nonfree command. Knoppix 6.0 features the flash-knoppix tool (LXDE -> System Tools -> Install KNOPPIX to flash disk) which allows you to install
so open a terminal and type. sudo apt-get install flash-nonfree all is well

I tried typing it in superuser but it gives me an error which says "E: Invalid operation flash-nonfree". I even ran the "Install knoppix to flash disk" option and I'm able to boot without the CD. But the "Install components" option under "System tools" does nothing when I click on it. It shows me the option of installing the flash plugin, amarok music jukebox, kaffiene, etc. But when I select the components I want to install and press OK, the window just closes. I don't know whats going on. Is there anyway to manually install the flash plugin? I actually downloaded the file, but I'm not able to run it. It would be nice if you could guide me on how to proceed.

Thanks

Thanks for the instructions page. Iceweasel had the scripts blocked for all the websites. Thats the reason I wasn't able to download the tar.gz file. Now I can view all the websites without any problems.

Thank you.
