Try the beta 9 version:
Download:
http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer9.html
Unpack it and dump "libflashplayer.so" in "/home/user/.mozilla/plugins/" (create it if you don't have it).
The stable one(Flas 7) is ultra outdated.

Thinker about "alternatives"? You just need to press "2" and Enter
I prefer it because it allows me to use both (most people will not need that though).
