Talk


Does anyone know how to use the talk command, ive read the man pages but cant figure it?? its just I cant use wall without su and trying to find alternative ways.

visudo
i
ALL localhost = NOPASSWD: wall
<ESC>
:wq
Then with
Code:
sudo wall "HAH - I can bug you all"
you should be able to bug them all as anyone.

If that's NOT what you want, replace the first
ALL in the inserted line with the username you
want to be able to use it.

yeah, thats cool but I need to be able to use root, is there anyway to talk to an individual without having root password???

Same as above, with write instead of wall.

Code:
ALL localhost = NOPASSWD: /usr/bin/write
sudo /usr/bin/write tink tty2 <enter>
