Suse dontīt boot X; donīt ask for root passwd, YAST donīt work...

Well thanks to read this:

>>>Well I installed the personal edition of Suse 9.1 and I was delightened
so I make me with a copy of Professional edition but The YAST

>1)Didnīt ask me for another CDs, it just spents 3 1/2 hours to install from cd1 and then send error in YAST packets ( "the follow packages sent an error input" )
So I tried to update manually with personal edition and adding 1 by1 with
rpm - i and I am having, lib***** needed by libgdm***
and so on;
is there any way to use Linux without being an experienced hacker

Carrie,
You should have defective install media, to run into these errors. Are these cd's home-made or purchased from stores?

Its no good idea to mix personal and pro stuff.

You can download the personal version and burn it to cd. Just take care to check the md5sum, which are a way to test the iso file for integrity. Once they are good, you can install it.
