ProFTPd

Hi

I have an ftp server setup and running using ProFTPd.

However, I want to create a link in ne of the users home directories that will send him or her to a different computer.

E.g
User test123 logs in remotely using FTP. He can then uipload/download/whatever in that directory. However there is also a shortcut that he can click that will send him to smb://laptop/c

Can this be done by simply creating a link on the linux box itself? If so how do I do that?

TIA
Oli

I would suggest mounting that external drive on your computer via nfs or smb
nfs might work better.
then just create a symlink in that users home directory with the appropriate permissions.
