Banshee and exaile are two players that have ipod support. Also, gtkpod (an ipod manager) is in the ubuntu repos. Since I do not have an ipod this is all I could suggest.

GTKPod works with my 6th Generation 120GB Classic.

Banshee say's it loads but after it disconnects I cannot find the music on the iPod. Rhythymbox has never worked on my iPod.

So until the new Banshee 2 comes out, and I'm not saying it will work but you can give it a try, my suggestion is GTKPod.

Nope, and from what I can see on their website exaile working properly with iPods is a little problematic

Thanks. I've heard some others that have had success with exaile, and that is why I asked.
