Something every linux newbie should read......

Now I believe that every "newbie" should read this article. Why? Because it clarifies much of how we linux users feel is true; Take the following passage:

Accessing google images behind a protected network/firewall

Just a quick blog.... If you are behind a firewall, and you can not access google images due to being blocked, there is a work around. Navigate to http://goosh.org/ and use the command "images" without the quotes to search. Works for me at work without a hitch.

Getting the AWUS036NH To work in Fedora 13 (32 or 64 bit)

I don't feel like typing a lot, so here it goes...

Download http://wireless.kernel.org/download/...-01-23.tar.bz2 and extract to /usr/src/drivers/

Most likely, you will need to create the drivers directory. After that, cd to compat-wireless-2011-01-23/net/wireless and download this patch http://blog.rootshell.be/wp-content/.../08/chan.patch

Now before you get ahead of me and try to apply that patch, it will...

Linksys WRT350N and iwlagn drivers

Just putting this information out there for fellow wrt350n users, or just in general wireless N users.... I bought it used, and it works great! I'm loving it, especially since I was able to flash it with the dd-wrt mega build. But onto the troubles... If you are using fedora 13 or 14, make sure to turn off wireless N for now. It gives me iwlagn errors for my wireless drivers, more specifically that it needs to reload the firmware every 30 seconds. This is due to a bug, which is currently beieng...
