in text mode my mouse doesn't work

HI!

In X my mouse run fine, but in text mode not.

I tried setup, i chose a generic mouse serial (emulate 3) and nothing.

My mouse is A4 tech.

you need to have gpm installed for the mouse to run on any text-based applications. it should be in the red-hat installation.

Also check that your gpm service is started.
From the text-console log in as root and type ntsysv
Make sure the gpm is checked.
The next time your computer reboots or you change run level the gpm will be loaded if it isn't already running.
