how do I install a KDE Theme from kde-look.org?

I tried lots of different themes and followed the instructions for the various versions of each one but nothing has worked. I don't really understand this....

Is there some place I can just download a "theme file" and simplly point KDE to this "theme file" in the control panel?

whenever I have downloaded themes they usually come with a README file that usually has all the intructions to a successful install. Check if the themes you download have readme files they might be useful.

yeah I followed the instructions in the readme for compiling. but it said it couldn't find a makefile. the directory DOES have a file of type "makefile" in it though

do ./configure then make (ps you can also do ./configure;make which tells it to do ./configure then make (easier)

then su root and do make install
that worked for me
