install kde theme in slackware

KDE 3.3.2, slackware 10.1; I've downloaded a couple of themes but apparently I don't understand the process. Whether I unpack the file or not, if I browse to it from within KDE theme manager, the theme manager does not recognize the file. One of the themes I downloaded and extracted had a configure, make, make install routine and I did that, but the theme does not appear in KDE theme manager so that i can choose it. What am I doing wrong?

Often these packages don't provide an entire "theme". What it installs is just a "style" or "window decoration". In the same place where you looked for the theme, look for the name under styles or window decorations. Everytime I thought I installed a theme it listed under styles.
