FC11 halts system but will not power off the PC

I have installed FC11 on my PC which previously ran FC6. When I run the shutdown -h now, it will get to the point where the drives shutdown and the system halts, but the PC never shuts down. With FC6, I always saw "Shutdown" display after "System Halted" and the PC would completely power off. Any ideas?

Is shutdown -r working properly ? make sure your hardware is fully compatible with fc11

I've occasionally found with some hardware that the shutdown command does not power off the system. Try using the poweroff command instead.

shutown -r works just fine, and the poweroff worked as well. Thx all for the help.
