Install the firmware using the package in your distros repos.

For instance in Ubuntu/Mint/Debian:

apt-get install firmware-realtek

I'm having exactly the same problem as the OP. Sadly, I only have one NIC so I'm unable to get online on the system with this issue currently. I am also running CentOS 6.3. Has anyone here successfully installed this driver on CentOS? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
