Strange samba problem on Fedora Core 3

Greetings all. I've installed Fedora Core 3 on my laptop but I've been having no end of trouble getting it to browse my Windows server shares. I'm using the same login/password on my Linux box as on my Windws box. I'm able to ping all of the other systems in my network, and I'm even able to see their netbios names when I browse using "Network Servers". Whenever I try to browse the machine to access the shares, I get the message: "You do not have the permissions necessary to view the contents of "Windows Network: <sharename>".

I have disabled any firewalls running on any of the systems inside the network. I get the same error no matter which Windows box I try to browse. The Windows machines are able to browse eachother without error.

The really weird thing is: smbclient, from the command line, can connect without error. It asks me to enter a password when I first connect, but after that, I'm able to browse any of the shares on any of the machines. So whats the deal with Nautilus? I'm running version 2.8.1. Any ideas?

Just glancing at this - you'll need

domain logons = Yes

Depending on the OS of the PDC, you may have to set
security=server
password server=netbios_servername
domain master = No
os level = 33

There is no PDC. No domain at all, just a workgroup.

Would these settings only effect Nautilus and not smbclient? Because, as I said, smbclient will connect without error.
