Samba problem with server inactivity in Fedora Core 2

When I leave my file/print server overnight and log onto my XP machine the next morning. I can no longer access my samba drive and printer from my XP machine. I have to go over to my Fedora core machine and restart samba so that I can get to the mapped samba drive and print anything from XP. I am using swat to configure samba and I do not see any time out associated with the server going down. Is there something I am missing in terms of configuration that will keep my server up? Maybe a power setting? My fedora computer doesn't power manage itself, it doesn't shut down so what is the deal?
