No longer have remote access.
Hi all,
I'm Running debian linux on a Dell PC. I had no problems connecting remotely using putty and vnc in the past. The thing is, I upgraded my Kernel, and now I can no longer connect or ping my external IP. It works fine internally. The other thing I did simultaneously was disconnect my XP system from the network and take it elsewhere, but I dont think that would be the problem. My roomates XP PC is still on the network and she has connectivity and can go about her daily internet bs, but when i try to 1. connect remotely or even ping the ip, i just get timed out. I'm assuming this is a router issue due to the fact that the IPs are the same and I can't ping them. Any suggestions would be great.
Im using a rt314 netgear gateway router
