recover FAT partition of external HD

Hi all,

last night i just tried to reinstall my toshiba laptop, so i could give more portion to my linux. I reinstalled the whole HD with recovery CD from toshiba (it reinstalls XP), but then i forgot to unplug my external HD from the laptop.

and somewhom, 3 partitions in my 300 GB external HD (all in FAT32 i supposed) are lost! could some one give an advice how to recover (at least some) data from my external HD?

thanks,
