Opinions on this card?

[link removed]

I want to upgrade my video card and I sort of have my eye on this one. It claims Linux is supported. Does anyone know of any problems with it getting along with Linux?

I have Mandrake 10 with the 2.4 kernel.

EDIT:

Blah....... stupid spam filter won't let me post the URL

It's the nVIDIA GeForce FX5700. Search for it at newegg dot com if you want to see the card I'm talking about.

:(

I bought the card and installed it. Works great on 2K and XP, but when I start X on Mandrake the display looks like it's in a frying pan or behind water or something. I tried installing this (http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_d..._1.0-5336.html) from the commandline, but it says the kernel source files are missing???

Where the heck are my source files? They're not in /usr/src/linux where the installer says they should be. I have Mandrake 10 Community with kernel 2.4.25-4mdk-i686-up-4GB

I'm gonna download the source RPM from this page (http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_nforce_1.0-0261.html) and see if that does me any good. If not, I'm either stuck in Win XP or stuck reinstalling my old card until I can figure this out.

Help??? :(

Ugh.
"rpm -ivh /home/mike/Nvidia-whatever.rpm"
"warning: user buildmeister does not exist - using root"

What the heck does that mean?
