Nvidia Black Screen (hsync out of range)

When I 'startx' I get a black screen which i can't got out of unless I Ctrl+Alt+Del and restart it.

I got the vsync and hsync from the manual of my monitor and added them to the XF86Config file so I dont know why it says that!

I installed the Nvidia Drivers as stated in the ReadMe, Using sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-5328-pkg1.run and editing the XF86Config file.

Ran modprobe nvidia and it completed with the tainted kernal warning

There are no errors in the log but at the end it says
Code:
Failed to initialize AGP
but then says
Code:
Setting mode "1024x768"

did you uncomment the /sbin/modprobe line in /etc/rc.d/rc.modules??

personally I don't use that particular AGP, I use the one supplied by the Nvidia driver, so.......do this
in your xf86config file, add this to Section "Device" right under the Driver "nvidia"
Code:
Option "NvAGP" "1"
and just leave the AGP line in /etc/rc.d/rc.modules file commented out.........

post back on how this works out for you.....
