No sound on Pinnacle PCTV using bttv 0.9.x and 2.6.2

I'm afraid it's another thread on the subject of tv cards

I've been working on getting this card going for some time now. The video is all fine using tvtime, but the sound is white noise. I've got the output from the tv card wired direct into some speakers so I'm sure there aren't any alsa/oss config issues. The following is the output I get when modprobing bttv:

Code:
bttv: driver version 0.9.12 loaded
bttv: using 8 buffers with 2080k (520 pages) each for capture

I have tried forcing the card to a 52 as well, which the cardlist also has as a Pinnacle card.

Current modules loaded are:

Code:

Just in case, here's my lspci:

I have also tried multiple values of tuner and audiomux. Basically I'm stumped on this one and any help would be appreciated.

(By the way, if anyone knows why my radeon8500 comes up as an LE, I'd like to know that as well)

i have the audio out from my bttv card run into the line input on my sound card.
works great. I am using a program called aumix that lets you change mixer settings from the commond line. ie

aumix -l 100;tvtime;aumix -l 0

so the line is set to 100 when tvtime starts and 0 when it exits.

hope that helps

Thanks ocularbob, but I'm sure that isn't a problem at the moment, although it looks like it will be useful in the future. The sound gives the same results when fed through the sound card via line-in #

Btw, I'm using Slackware 9.1
