Slow connection and unresolved symbols

Another newbie with a (slight) problem ...

I've created the driver as per all the previous instructions (for which I thank you), and I'm connected up now. But I'm only getting a speed of 31k, whereas in Windows I would get 44k connections all the time.

I'm am also getting 'unresolved symbols' errors in ~/kernel/driver/char/ham.o and ~/kernel/drivers/char/hamcore.o when I boot up.

Are these two facts related, and what can I do to fix them.

The modem speed is configured to the standard 11500 (off the top of my head) - the norm for 56k modems anyhow.

Ideas ??

I had the same problem as well. Thanks for the link to the linmodem drivers. I had been using the Linux developers web site, and didn't see the RH8 version. (Hadn't been there for quite a while, i admit)
