Hi all
I am a total nube to Hylafax and I have some linux experience
I am having redhat9 and rockwell connexant modem
Installed hylafax took a lot of time to make the modems come ready
then whenever i try to send any fax the modem does not dial or it gives me no carrier detected

any suggestions ???

it looks as if there is no dial tone.
can u connect to the internet from this modem

I can use minicom to dial my mobile from my land line

well if u can use the same phone/modem for connecting to the internet as well then i cannot see any reasom that ur fax is not working
one thing u can try is
if u can do this on a win machine,there u can see what commands are being issued for the fax to run, then from the logs u can issue those commands here also
