Carrier in linux?

Hello,

I need some suggestions abt the carrier in linux field. I started with great pain to learn linux becuase it was difficult to even install some packages. but slowly i liked in the administration field of linux. How are the job offers for this field? I really have no idea about it. Do u need the programming skills for this? I am working in Bangalore. i want to switch over to administration. Any suggestions please?

Sorry if i asked this question in wrong place.

Thanks.

So you are from Bangalore? I am too from India, but I don't know about the career opportunities in Linux, but some advice first.

1. Before you submit anything, spell check it to see that there are no errors.

2. You have to really work hard to get an admin job in linux, BUT it will be well worth the effort. I would suggest that you do RHCE so that you can get an foot hold in this field.

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.

For RHCE u should have real world exp. in admin .

exam will have trouble shooting etc. No dumps are available.
General topics covered are available(it's everything in linux!!!!!!).
No programming skills req.

All the best
Mahesh.
