Linux console mono-color, blinking block cursor

Hello ! I was wandering if the linux console foreground color can be set to (i.e

green . I mean .. not only the exact command prompt, command line but also program outputs etc. .. basically ALL text on the console to be green . Also, I'm not talking about terminals (xterm/rxvt etc.) but just non-GUI (imagine there's no X) command line interface (virtual consoles..)

Regarding the same Console (vc) , what configuration must I make so that the cursor displays as a block and not as an underscore and so that it blinks (also .. have a custom color?) .

I don't know if this will affect the console programs but if you are using bash try:

echo -e "\033[32m"

for green and

Code:

echo -e "\033[1;32m"

for light green
