Are you running Linux Software Raid0 or did you configure the card BIOS as Raid0?
1) The first option will work and the second option will probably not work.
Regarding the second option (BIOS Raid), if your card cost less than US$300, what appears to be hardware Raid is really software Raid that is not recognized/supported by Grub or Linux. Grub tries to interpret the BIOS information, whereas the FC3 installer ignored the BIOS-defined Raid and just installed on /dev/hde.
2) If you are using Linux Software Raid0, then /boot must be Raid1.
3) Also, quoting from the grub manual (
http://www.gnu.org/software/grub/manual/grub.html):
Error 2 : Bad file or directory type - This error is returned if a file requested is not a regular file, but something like a symbolic link, directory, or FIFO.
