Huh???

It looks like you're using lilo, not grub. Have you ever recieved any other errors concerning drive geometry for this drive?

yeah I was trying to use grub but install lilo by mistake , but I think lilo can give me more clue of what's going on.

and no i don't receive this kind of message but when I was using lilo and I was trying to pass some parameter to the boot it

lilo -b /dev/hda1
it says that it's it don;'t have MBR in it ....

I am confused when it ask me to put the drive to install the lilo or grub should i put /dev/hda1 or /dev/hd0 ?

what's that error message ?drive geometry ?
the reason i ask is that i think my drive is not clean or something or why can't it find my mbr ...
is it possibl;e that u can give a top-to down partition steps that I can folow ?

You won't see the MBR...

It's hidden. Just install grub/lilo to the mbr and you'll be ok. If you want, visit the link in my sig for my grub.conf file. That should help.

It's simply:

grub-install /dev/hda
