previously
sda1 /boot
sda2 /home

in sda2 the memory was 950GB and sda1 was 35GB

thats why i have tried to extend the number of partitions from sda2

first i was unmount sda2 from home directory. And then created partition
as sda2,sda3,sda4.

I think this partition might contain os installed data.
After i have created the partitions I cant mount with any directory .
It'l reply no filesystem assigned.

then only i have decided to restart my systems
I dont mind to clear this problems.
when i tried to rescue mode after some click like language place and network it will not display any text mode screen.
blank screen only displayed.
there cant execute any commend
please hekp me .

thanks for your reply

there is no way to enter the testdisk after i have inserted the os dvd.
and there is a rescue mode but that is not displaying any textmode commmand.
when i try to install os it'll display
Code:
An unhandled exception has occured.this is most likely a bug.please save a copy of the detailed exception and file a bug report.

details:
anaconda 13.21.215 exception report
tracebook;:
File "/usr/lib/anaconda/storage/devicelibs/lvm.py",line 416,in lvactivate
raise LVMError("lvactivate failed for %s:%s"%(lv_name,msg)))
similarly in 2506,1631,2068,2162,452 etc lines are errors displing.
ANd LVMError:lvactivate failed for lv_home:05:23:44,403 ERROR : unable ro resume vg_server-lv_home(253:0)

and etc errors are displayng in a message box and it ask to debug or save or exit to next during the installation.
I ave just tried to install os .
I think os setup file was unmounted from /home directory.
there is any way to bring my system in previous stage

Disk /dev/mapper/vg_server-lv_root: 53.7 GB, 53687091200 bytes

Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

Disk identifier: 0x00000000
and df -h is
Code:
[root@server ~]# df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/mapper/vg_server-lv_root
                       50G 4.8G 42G 11% /
tmpfs 3.8G 992K 3.8G 1% /dev/shm
/dev/sda1 485M 66M 395M 15% /boot
/dev/mapper/vg_server-lv_home
                      860G 2.6G 814G 1% /home
my question is how to partition the 860GB as sda2,3 etc
And these are not aligned properly.
this is not look understandable.
please give idea to make partitions good.
