Okay, I finally got my theme about as successfully tweaked as I'm gonna get it, so here's a pytwf screenie.
I'm debating maybe putting it up on xfce-look.org or something, but I dunno..it's technically based on someone else's theme. Besides that, not everyone likes themes that dark.
i think it takes a screenshot if you have scrot installed, as well.
That script is a lot fancier than mine. You could put it in .bashrc so it runs as the welcome message when you log in, or open a terminal. There is also a program called linuxlogo that does the same thing, just with basic info.
That's no problem if that "someone else" put the original theme under an open license.
I got the package from the AUR: gtk-murrina-black-theme. License says GPL, so I guess it'd be okay to post it up on xfce-look or something as long as I credit the original author and release it under GPL as well...at least that's my understanding.
Sorry for being a n00b, but I just want to make sure I'm not doing something stupid WRT licensing.
a friend gave me a really old pc so i decided to make a bit of a project out of it. im setting it up as a server for my house, and its going to act as a central storage place for all my multimedia/downloads/backups. im planning on doing more with it, but heres a screenshot of my computer vnc-ing into the server's desktop.
