Originally posted by megaspaz what? you're talking about wireless support out of the box. once again, what does this have to do with linux? the vendor provides the drivers for windows. you're argument in your question reads to me that windows is the reason the wireless cards work. i say the vendor supplying the wireless card drivers for windows is what makes it work. you're saying that wireless cards in linux don't work. i'm saying that's patently false. there are network cards that do work in linux.
english only language :-D a windows error robbed me of my education though by giving me narcotics legally.
spaz,
you are right to a point, however it does have to do with linux because linux does provide the drivers while microsoft does not, but that was your point and I kinda stole it, lets not argue anymore, I will end it with a big I agree.

here I am, I can actually *afford* to buy hardware that I want to use with Linux, what 3 wireless netcards should I buy?
what? can't do the research?
i posted a link that goes through some makes and models.
akaBeaVis
please stick to topic and avoid attacking us personally and I will try to do the same courtesy to you, I do nopt claim to have done so thus far however so don't get started there. and are you attacking my disability (that I have decided to persue in jobs/educartion but exists none the less?) it might make my language skills into something next to nill, but my intelligence is in no way effected, but then again you may think good speaking skills is the same as intelligence, if that is true hitler was god as he managed to use good speaking skills to kill off hundreds. your use of good language skills does not mean you are correct
no links, I'm a newbie here at LQ and I want to know what wireless cards work "out of the box" with linux. Give me make/model numbers
ask in a thread about wireless cards int he hardware forum and someone might answer, this is hardly the place to ask, read where you are please.

once again, you've shown an ineptness at reading. i already said, that there are none out of the box due to the fact the wireless card vendors do not provide drivers in the box. but the link shows which cards have support. but if you want a recommendation, linksys has linux support where you can download linux drivers. once again, it's called research.
well I am out of here, you have ceased to be entertaining and have reduced to avoiding the topic and insulting us. you can't win and are SCO'ing out of it. good luck I hope you find something to complain about once this runs out. GO TO FRANCE! (worse than hell)
