yahoo messenger on FC2

Guys, as i have never used Gaim ( )can anybody help me out how to login into yahoo thru Gaim.........

plzzz reply as soon as possible.........

to use Gaim with an yahoo account do this:
start Gaim>>Accounts>>Add Account>>then select Protocol "Yahoo" and enter you username, password and/or other options like "Auto-Login", "Remember password", using proxy server, ...

It maybe working now, but it is likely to stop working soon

You could try Kopete or visit freshmeat.net to search for other YIM client for Linux.

hi there
i tried using kopete in GC2 which came wiht the distro
everytime it is reporting an error of wrong password,while i am ble to log in through gaim with the same password username

Upgrade to Kopete 0.84, it should work fine.

are you using GAIM 0.80 or 0.81? The older version doesn't support yahoo any more. You have to enter in the "Screen Name" field just your yahoo username without "@yahoo.com". Just [example] kallan and your password. "Alias" field can remain empty.

I have tried Y! Messenger for unix/linuz and IMHo it sucks. i Have tRied lOts of IM's and there's one that ive liked. its Gyach enhanced forked from The original Gyach. It has webcam support. And all the goodies.. vEry Compatible with Y!M..
