I'm using Vmware Workstation 7.1.4 on Fedora 15 with Gnome3, it works well, no problem found!
I also tried it just now. Works fine but got some pesky warnings: the first one while installation saying hard limit of open files set to 1024, if I want to increase it to 4096. Second one was something about the yield() function being enabled vis sysctl. Did you get these warnings?
No! I got warning about hard limit same as Fedora 14. Which version of vmware you use? I run Vmware workstation 7.1.4 64bit!
P/S: for yield() function problem please see here http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/mic...rnalId=1027987
This is a warning not error, vmware warning about increase hard limit in /etc/security/limits.conf !Don't worry! I've used Vmware with Fedora 15 since May 24 to now...no problem found :-)

I can't install/upgrade from VMWare Workstation 7.1.0 to 7.1.4 on Fedora 15 x86_64.
It's not incompatible or extra kernel headers.
When I run the bundle, I get:
% ./VMware-Workstation-Full-7.1.4-385536.x86_64.bundle --console
Extracting VMware Installer...done.
