The install for VMware Workstation 6.5 freezes about 2/3rds of the way done, on "configuring". I've tried restarting, and it still doesn't help

I've got VirtualBox installed as well, are they conflicting? (I'm trying to get a way to play DirectX9 games on my computer, if you already know off the top of your head that VMware won't let me, that can save me a lot of work, and I can, instead, figure out how to install a copy of WinXP to dual boot with.

I want to play Aion.

I'm having the same problem, I've tried every version of the installer and when it says it's complete and loading GRUB it freezes. I know what the problem is, and it's the Linux video drivers. I can't find the updated Linux video drivers for any video card anywhere, and of course noone will help or can't help. It's one of those frustrating things in life.

As far as I know, Fedora is the only Linux OS that has this problem. I told the creaters about it, but either they won't reply to me or they're taking longer to find or fix the issue. That's why I'm deciding to stick with F10 and see if I can upgrade the latest GNOME GUI and file system to ext4. I'm trying to do the same with Red Hat 8, no luck.
