how to install only bootloader in FC2

i installed FC2 after i installed XP using graphics mode. and selected FC2 as my default operating system in the bootloader options. everything was fine.
then i had to reinstall XP. after doing so i dont get the grub bootloader option menu anymore. and i get the menu back without reinstalling FC2. ie can i install only the bootloader for my FC2 which is already there on my hard drive

You can fix this problem by doing,
1) run your first installation disk
2) enter linux-rescue at the boot prompt
3) do "chroot /mnt/sysimage"
4) do "grub-install /dev/hda"

Before step three you may be asked for the root partition for Fedora Core, so make sure you know it.

thanx a lot it worked i had to change the last command to
grub-install /dev/hdb
as my HDD is primary slave
