Question error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.5: cannot open shared object file

I installed a .deb package that was created from a .rpm package using Alien. When I try to run a cli command from the program, I receive:

Code:
error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
libstdc++6 (4.3.2-1) is the only installed version on my system (Lenny). Souldn't that be compatible with 5? Also, I'm wondering if it is possible to install libstdc++.so.5 alongside libstdc++6?

The application I'm having issues with is "4L: Lacie" (a lightscribe labeler).

Thanks in advance!

Nope.

Yep.

Oh, you want to know how. The easiest way is for you to run the synaptic package manager and install libstdc++5. Aptitude or apt-get will work, as well.
