Chrome browser is nice in Lenny!


So, its greeat that Chrome has a build for Debian/Ubuntu!

I think it actually runs faster than iceweasel!

Considering you have to hoik even FileZilla 3.1+ in yourself it would make more sense for this to only be in squeeze, particlarly as it adds itself to your sources. But if the cap fits (and you have enough free cylinders to locally compile Chromium)...

Runs like a dying snail for me, both Chrome and Chromium. Even refuses to load gmail. Go figure.

Consider using Uzbl on your livecd instead.

That's a bummer; I can't find Uzbl through Synaptic. Is that normal?

It is only in testing and unstable.

Note I put it in my latest mini-distro with awesome 503box (fluxbox-modified)

Chrome deb runs well for me. It is fast and I hope they can get it out of Beta soon -- you remember how long Gmail stayed in Beta, don't you?

Well the website says that is is still in alpha so that makes sense, but it does sound interesting. Thanks for mentioning it. By the way, the link to the site in your signature is wrong. It is uzbl.org and not uzbl.com.

hey so, by tomorrow afternoon I will have my new 503box JWM Modified ready for download, its Lenny but i got many squeeze apps including UZBL in there
