Redistributing Chrome like this seems to go against the terms of the EULA you linked to earlier:

http://www.google.com/chrome/eula.html

See section 9.

I would just put the Google repo in the sources.list then they can install it if they want it. Adobe Flash isn't distributable either.

Might also consider using slim rather than gdm, it is lighter and has fewer depends.

Good work, keep it up.

thanks

well, about the slim thing
What features would I lose by not using GDM?

and also, its possible to configure Slim to allow root login or even autolodin root?

I tried adding Uzbl from source but it just kept ending in alot of errors on Lenny&1/2 but works
great on Squeeze.

However, Squeeze lacks usb persistency as its broke I guess?
and whats the point of a read-only distro, cept maybe as rescue.

I specifically build them to run persistent from cd/usb or even hd frugal
and of course some have the remastersys-installer.

As for Flash & Chrome; if I built Chrome from source then its ok to distribute?
what about Flash?
some distros come with it; some dont?

did any of you guys try 503box-Chrome?
its nice to just edit some text files and you get a cool desktop

I don't think you can. Use Chromium it's gpl (only the free parts of Chrome), so no problem there.

Most just make it trivial to download and install (eg flashplugin-nonfree package for debian). The distros that really do come with it (I can't think which they are right now) would have licensing agreements with Adobe.

Cheers,
