My First Blog Entry

Posted 08-05-2008 at 01:53 PM by happyharris

This is my first blog entry. Mostly this blog will be full of complaints about Linux. This is because blogs of the form "Dragged a file from one window in nautilus to another. File was moved correctly." are not very interested.

I have SUSE Linux 10.2 on my Dell Latitude D810, which I use for work as a Java programmer. I am mostly happy with it. Happier than when I used to have Windows XP on the same machine.

Ubuntu Version?

Posted 08-04-2008 at 11:27 PM by sawgrass

I am very new to the linux world having recently installed Ubuntu which I am enjoying a lot.

I want to know how do I find out which version I have. Having downloaded all the updates that have been available, does that mean that I have the last version installed. If not how do I find out what version I'm running?

Thanks for your help.

Phil
