Posted 10-06-2015 at 03:37 PM by MensaWater
Updated 11-12-2015 at 08:05 AM by MensaWater

I'm writing this up because I've often seen the question "How do I extract email attachments at command line?". I had to figure out how to use various tools to do this recently and figured I'd share what I did.

EDIT 11-Nov-2015:
While what is written below certainly works for extracting email attachments including those sent by OSN it turns out Oracle does NOT include all fields in the email they send so we ultimately abandoned this setup for OSN and are instead...

tmux - "tmux new-window \; split-window -h" does not work as expected anymore.

Posted 10-06-2015 at 01:54 AM by MadMaverick9 (MadMaverick9's Blog)
Tags patch, tmux

Start tmux with:
Code:
bash $ tmux
Which will start a session with one window and a shell started. In that shell type:
Code:
bash $ tmux new-window \; split-window
Up to 1.9a this would create a new window and split that new window.
In 2.0 and above it creates a new window, but then splits the first window.

The first patch "current-session-02.patch.txt" restores previous 1.9a behavior. But in order to be complete, tmux should also keep track of the...

There's another method which consists in uploading the image from your computer in some free host and then giving this URL to google via command line, but it's kind of a scumbag-ish thing to do, I think.

Based on/essentially identical to the first answer to a question in stack overflow:

Code:
#!/usr/bin/env python
# WARNING: I DON'T KNOW PYTHON AT ALL, THIS MAY BE GRUESOME AND IDIOTIC
import sys
filePath = sys.argv[-1]

import requests

Run your Slackware 64 bit system with the latest stable kernel – 4.2.2!

Posted 10-03-2015 at 12:32 PM by exton (Exton's Blog)

I have compiled a very useful (as I think) 64 bit kernel for Slackware 12.0 – 14.1 and/or all Slackware derivatives. For example Slax, Zenwalk and SlackEX. The kernel is compiled exactly the same way as Slackware’s latest kernel huge. “My” kernel 4.2.2-x86_64-exton has even more support for new hardware, etc. Kernel 4.2.2 is the latest stable kernel available from Kernel.org. Released 20150929.

WHAT’S NEW in kernel 4.2?
One million new lines of code in kernel 4.2! (The biggest...
