A C/C++ SCRIPT to change symlinks to url links.

Today's feature:
  • A C/C++ utility (script if you have runc-rs) to change symlinks to url files.

[Requires runc-rs or at least librunc.a from runc-rs.

Doesn't require mint to work, nor even a deb derivative.]

This experiment today is significantly less ambitious than the deb repository builder thingy in the previous blog entry and is again a nice intro to C/C++...

sendmail slows down boot time

change /etc/hosts file:

To speed up sendmail load time during boot.

So, OK: The below text comes from LinuxMint 15; but the problem's the same. I'm trying to look at /.profile with $ vi /.profile but what I get is a new file with that name. WTF?!

Latest lesson learnt:
A stitch in time saves nine.

Background story:
A year back a part of my grinding tooth broke off! I took it
lightly and kept on ignoring it for many months. Slowly the part of
the tooth, now exposed, developed cavity! I didn't feel any pain
(probably because the cavity was in its early stage) and therefore
kept on ignoring it thinking...
