RaspEX for Raspberry Pi 2 was reviewed by Softpedia today (150323).

My News 150318

What is Raspberry Pi?
The Raspberry Pi is a low cost, credit-card sized computer that plugs into a computer monitor or TV, and uses a standard...

Image Magick will open Seattle Film Works (.sfw) photo files

Posted 03-22-2015 at 07:25 AM by flshope

For a couple of years near the end of the 20th century, I was using camera film from the Seattle Film Works. As part of their service, they generated electronic format picture image files in some sort of proprietary format. The files came on 3-1/2-inch floppies and had the extension SFW. They also provided Windows software to display the images. I never bothered much with the image files but hung on to the floppies. Frustration Defined

Posted 03-20-2015 at 06:39 PM by rocket357 (Musings on technology, philosophy, and life in the corporate world)

I won't lie. I hold a very low opinion of the security saavy of many American corporations. I understand that complexity is the enemy of security, and hence large corporations, who have complex chains of command, are necessarily going to be less secure (ahem...without dedicating tremendous resources and energy into making security a design feature and not an afterthought...such a place, however, is a rare beast indeed).

This, however, this takes a level of lackadaisical complacency...
