Dual-booting Again

Posted 06-22-2018 at 06:10 AM by brianL

Thought I'd lost interest in using other distros ages ago, but since this T3600 has such a large HDD (1 TB), I'm having another go - with Ubuntu 16.04. Slackware & Ubuntu: offers a good contrast. No problems yet. Hope I don't get kicked out of the Slackware Fanboys Club for this.

Four days - that's how long I stuck with Ubuntu. Installed it Tuesday, only mentioned it here yesterday, gone today. No problems with it, but no interest in it.

I used Ubuntu for several years, because I bought a Dell that came with Ubuntu back when that was easy.

But Ubuntu lost me with Unity.

AFAIC, Mint is Ubuntu done right.

I seem to have lost interest in trying other distros now, unlike when I first "discovered" Linux and indulged in frenzied distrohopping.
