shockwave


Hi all

My sons are complaining that there games are running slow

From what I have read they haven't made shockwave for Linux yet, is that correct ?

Well I installed wine then firefox browser then manualy installed the shockwave plugin, this runs real slow, any one else had these problems ? is there another way around this ?

I'm at alost and dont what else I can do for my sons

Their system is Ubuntu, I did a live install

You're right, there is no Shockwave for Linux (not that I'd know anyway). Probably the only way, if you insist using Shockwave, is to use emulated OS or programs, and emulating a whole OS is probably even slower than emulating some program (like a browser). So...are you sure you have enough RAM so it's not because RAM is full? And do you use some proprietary display drivers (like from nVidia or ATI) or not using 3d card at all?
