how do i install flash\ shock wave for konqueror. it seems to be mozilla oriented

There's no shockwave yet for linux.

If you are visiting sites that have a notice saying that Shockwave is required.....
Just go to the Macromedia site and download the Linux FlashPlayer plugin, follow the install instructions and hey presto....shockwave enabled !!

thats what i'm reffering too. i downloaded the flash player from macromedia and installed it but the readme says nothing about the konqueror browser. it only gives details for mozilla.

Install flash player (it does NOT play Shockwave...that's still not out for linux) for Mozilla.

Next, open Konqueror and hit the settings menu, choose "configure konqueror"

Select "plugins" on the left side of the window and hit the "scan for plugins" button on the right. Konqueror should now have flash support - you may need to restart konq or logout of kde, log back in but should be rockin.
