Angry problem with ubuntu10.10 login


hello,

I have problem in booting ubnutu10.10. once start ubuntu, while login it ask password, once if i enter correct login also, again it will come back to same page, what i have to do. please help me.

Do you get any errors on the screen? Are you using the normal user to login or root? Root logins are disabled by default. Can you use CLI to login using the same credentials?

Command line interface? Can you press Control+Alter+F1/F7 and see if you can login on the prompt.

Are you using root to login to the system?
