i had installed sendmail

#sudo apt-get install sendmail
#apt-get install apt-get install heirloom-mailx


#apt-get install apt-get install heirloom-mailx
#vi /etc/mail/sendmail.mc
i disable the following line
line no 57 had

DAEMON_OPTIONS(`Family=inet, Name=MTA-v4, Port=smtp, Addr=127.0.0.1')dnl

#DAEMON_OPTIONS(`Family=inet, Name=MTA-v4, Port=smtp, Addr=127.0.0.1')dnl

#vi /etc/mail/access
#mail -C /etc/mail
#sendmailconfig

#m4 /etc/mail/sendmail.mc > /etc/mail/sendmail.cf

but still mail it not working im new to ubuntu can somebody say where im making mistake in my conf

Hi ,
i solved the problem by myself sendmail in ubuntu by default it send the mail just installing sendmail package it more enough .there is no need to change the configuration file as it like in centos 5.5 server
