I got the VHX card in a trade from a friend, and I'm interested in building a MythTV box around it. Has anyone tried it? Are there any particular hardware, software, and/or driver issues I should know about, or does it 'just work?'

I can't get it to work with mythtv, but I do have it working with xawtv, tvtime, and others that don't support recording. If you get it set up and working, mind helping me? As far as drivers, use the bttv modules. I think it's card=14 tuner=2, but you can look up bttv and find that. It has an odd way of handling sound... the instructions say to use a cord from the line out of the card to the line in of your computer but I go from card to a stereo receiver.

Basically all I get in mythtv though is a black screen and then it goes back to menu...
