Question Mythtv & Fedore Core 5 Install - recognising Video card

I need a bit of help on this. I seem to be ok with linux basics but thought Id try something a bit more advanced - make a Media Centre PC with MythTV.

I am using the tutorial (like everybody else I should imagine) at wilsonet.com & am having a problem.

I am using Fedora Core 5 Hauppage PVR350 & an Nvidia graphivs card. If you need any further info re spec pl shout.
I have got as far as checkibng if my capture card is recognised - using:

/sbin/lspci -v

& the 350 is there. The next bit says to check that the vidoe device exits using :

$ ll /dev/video?

this returns the comment:
ls: /dev/video?: No such file or directory

I have tried various ways but cannot get any further. Can anyone help? Many thanks

Kevin

My guess is Jarod meant ? to mean a number. You could use *:
ll /dev/video*

Also, instead of using lspci I'd use lsmod to check if the ivtv drivers are loaded. But, I don't want to detract from the guide that a lot of people have had some good success with, and this may be covered later, so feel free to continue on once you find the /dev/videoX you are looking for. (FYI I didn't use Jarod's guide, but I did use FC4 for one of my Myth machines).

Good Luck!

Cool
