Question Kubuntu 5.10 serial mouse problem

I have recently installed an older Kubuntu 5.10 distro. When installation completed and got into system, my serial 3-button Logitech mouse was not working.Any idea about what to configure and how? Thanks in advance.

from linpu18 to masonm

It seems that xorg.conf is not o.k.I gave it a try with a PS/2 mouse, mouse worked fine, but I had other problems as well. Finally I decided to format the volumes and I'll give it a second try. Thanks anyway.
