7.10 sound stopped working

Sound stopped working 4 days after os installed.

I checked all the mixer settings are up.

Installed ALSA mixer et al components and nothing helped.

I booted from the CD and sound worked fine. What the heck is going on? I'm not too impressed with Kubuntu so far.

Is the module for your soundcard still beeing loaded at boot ?

What did you do relating to sound before it stopped working? Installed software? Changed settings?
