Not every distro out there is well known. One can even go so far as to declare that some of them have active opposition against them. It is these little guys that do not always have the coverage that they deserve. So starting with this blog post, I will raise awareness of an interesting journey begun by Neowin forum members.

It's very attractive, but apart from good looks and a FF 3 install, I'm not really sure what it provides that plain Ubuntu or Debian don't.

They're breeding like rabbits, these Ubuntu based distros.

Yeah, probably because it's a pretty good base to begin with. Back in my day, most distros were based off Slackware, Debian or Red Hat.
